Lizzie McGuire 3 Homecoming Havoc
Everybody’s favorite girl-next-door is back in an all new micro-arcade game. Lizzie McGuire 3: Homecoming Havoc calls for quick reflexes as our heroine attempts to advance past obstacles building friendships and gaining popularity points on her way to the homecoming dance. With Homecoming rapidly approaching, Lizzie is determined to be crowned Homecoming Queen. Of course, Lizzie’s arch rival Kate vies for the crown too. In order to win the affection of the student body and become popular enough to become Homecoming Queen, Lizzie will need to complete over 100 different speed challenges, plus compete in dance-offs with Kate to win the title. This property set out to capitalize on the popularity of NDS micro-arcade games. It initially had two sets of 100 games, one set featuring Lizzie McGuire and the other featuring That’s So Raven characters. Since Lizzie already had an alter ego that was a cartoon, I worked with our licensing department to develop the 2D models for the other characters on the show. The developer’s art for the Raven side of things just didn’t work out so we decided to cut those games early on and focus on Lizzie.
I ensured visual consistency and visited the development studio during critical milestones, making sure the developers were adhering to the overall art style as well as Disney’s best practices and game development guidelines. I worked with the developers and all the stakeholders to get approvals.
Since Lizzie already had an alter ego that was a cartoon, I worked with our licensing department to develop the 2D models for the other characters on the show.
