OVERVIEW:

I worked with several Doctors while designing with the game play for Think Like a Shrink. Some of the core play mechanics were even patented. Based on the book of the same name, the challenge was to make therapy fun and engaging. I designed the characters, environments and created the Game Design Brief and storyboards. I worked with a 2D artist and several Development Studios (we did 2 versions) to bring this project to life. I made sure the majority of the assets (characters, UI & environments) were created using Adobe Illustrator to “future proof” the designs – making them renderable for any platform – at any resolution. I did a lot of research on 3rd party leader boards for this game, as they were not available at the time of the first iteration of this project. I also used an overseas development studio for the first version – NTP took it over for V2. Overseas development is difficult to manage due to time differences and language barriers, which is why we brought it home.
