{DESCRIPTION}
That’s So Raven 2: Supernatural Style, you’ll join Raven and her family as they embark on a variety of adventures. As Raven, you must use your psychic ability and disguises to make it through school, the mall, the zoo, a concert, and more. Along the way you’ll find different accessories that you can add to your fashion line.
{MY ROLE}
I oversaw the production of Disney’s popular Television Property: That’s So Raven. Even though it was for tweens, I loved that show – Raven Simone was smart and witty, plus she had great comic timing. She reminded me of Lucile Ball from I Love Lucy. Working Raven’s quirks into the game design was fun – like Lucy, she fibbed, took shortcuts and “borrowed” to get her way. I wrote the initial game design brief and design requirements, in which Raven’s interest in fashion and disguises were key elements, as well as her psychic ability. I also created a style guide to specify Ravens in-game wardrobe, costumes, characters and environment design as well.

One of the challenges for Raven was getting her animation right. Raven-Symoné does physical comedy very well, like Lucille ball. So when the developers delivered a standard walk and run cycle, I worked with them to amp up the attitude and funny factor. We made her run and jumps more awkward and girly, with exaggerated hip movement and dainty hands. Her “push” cycle became dramatically exaggerated, and her landing pose became very unlady like. Also, when ever she turns her back to the camera she pivots and does a little hip sashay.

Raven’s Costume Changes
In addition to fashion items and clothing, players also collected costumes to all them access to special locations throughout the game. For example, zookeeper Raven could go behind the scenes at the zoo. This costume was based on Steve “the crocodile hunter” Irwin’s attire. The cheerleader outfit is based on her school colors, yellow and gold. Her sci-fi “galaxy girl” outfit is a nod to the CAPCOM science-fiction game P.N.03, short for Product Number Three.
Poster Art
I created this swag, it came as a bonus insert with the game. The poster contains show memorabilia, hints of environments as well as clues and cheats codes for the game.
